Choosing the Right Car Seat

A car seat is an incredibly important item to have when you have a child. Now that you have found the perfectly safe vehicle from our lot here at Cecil Atkission Toyota, you need to consider finding the safest car seat option on the market for your child. Let's take a closer look at some of the different options:

An infant carrier seat is used by newborns and infants under the age of one typically. The base is installed in the second or third row of your vehicle and it is rear facing. You can then place the carrier in and out of the vehicle as need be.

A convertible seat is used for slightly older children around the toddler age. This should be installed rear facing at first as well. The current recommendation is that the seat should remain facing towards the rear of your vehicle until the child is over two years old or can no longer fit their legs in the seat comfortably.
